Jury & Courtroom Dress Code & 
Guideline for Conduct

To check whether you, as a juror, have to report for Jury Duty after you've been summoned, please call our Jury Line at (912) 367-8127.

The Dress Code and guideline for conduct in the courtroom is as follows:

​

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that all persons entering the courtrooms (in Appling County) as spectators or participants shall be dressed in the following manner:

​

MALES: shall wear long pants (No Holes), dress shirts and shoes; all shirts to be tucked in. (Tie and coat recommended but optional).

FEMALES: shall wear dresses, long pants (No Holes) or skirts, blouses, shoes, shirts tucked in; no bare midriffs;  may wear a pantsuit, skirt or dress.

NO SHORTS ARE ALLOWED. ALSO, NO PURSES OR BACKPACKS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COURTROOM.

IT IS ALSO HEREBY ORDERED that there shall be no smart watches, pagers nor cellular telephones in the courtroom. Any deviation from this order shall be approved on a case-by-case basis by the presiding judge.
